I would like publicly to thanks Hunt for making the SR version of Scorpion, i believe i was the one who was pushing it the most. Dont know if anyone see the potential it has got to offer. Personally i want to see how good the Scorpion actually is when applied on consistent rules basis, without the discretionary element.

As we know, there are 4 major trades with the Scorpion, and with a bit of tweeking stops and targets im hoping to test all of them for all the major instruments. Heck, might even try it on a individual stocks. If it works as it is supposed to we could be sitting on an ATM machine here, with auto trading possibilities!

While there will be a learning curve to master it, it is going to be a massive time saver for me and hopefully anybody who use it. I hope maybe we can share the ideas here and solve problems regarding imputing the rules/code and all that comes along.

Again, big thanks to you Hunt!

Ok, here is first question for u Hunt.

I get into the code, and change the stop loss/target info, save the strategy and try to run a backtest, but i noticed that after backtest is complete it shows me the results as if i have not change the original info. When i tried to save it with a different strategy name, it does not see it under available strategies in the backtester (althoug it shows up in strategy analzyer down left). Any idea why its happening or what should i do?

I'm not sure what is happening without seeing the code but I suspect you didn't compile the indicator after your changes and therefore the old settings were still in effect. Even after compiling, if your running it on a chart your chart would not see the different settings until you refresh (F5) the chart. If the settings were adjustable in the parameters the chart would automatically be refreshed after you clicked OK or Apply but not so if you only change code. If you save an indicator or strategy under a different name the system won't see it and you can't use it until you compile something. You can make sure you don't have this problem by immediately compiling the code after saving under a new name.

Soo, i played a little bit with the strategy you created for practice, and looks like its not good! Tried to reverse Long/Short entries on same setups and its better. Tried on 4 rng and 10 rng TF contract for period from 01.01.2011-09.05.2011. 10 rng looks better for reason it does not get so many trades, 4 rng res would be wiped out by a commish.

Interesting stuff indeed!! Here are the snapshots in case anyone cares

Ah, remember Igor, the strategy is meant to be only a sample and not in any way intended for trades. It is very basic and not meant to be profitable.
